According to the “CE” Marking Regulation dated 23.02.2012;

“Module B- EC type examination

ARTICLE 4- (1) EC type examination is the part of a conformity assessment procedure in which a notified body examines the technical design of the product and verifies and certifies that this design complies with the relevant rules of the technical legislation.”

In paragraph 6 of the same article, the EC type examination certificate is expressed as follows.

(6) Where the type evaluated meets the relevant rules of the technical legislation, the notified body shall issue an EC type examination certificate to the manufacturer. The certificate shall contain the name and address of the manufacturer, the results of the examination, the conditions for the validity of the certificate, if any, and the information necessary for the identification of the approved type. The document may have one or more annexes.
